For generations Camp Perry has been home to excitement and adventure for thousands of youth in the Rio Grande Valley — and you’ve been a part of it.

As alumni you’ve seen first-hand the dedication, commitment and effort it takes to run one of the greatest camps anywhere. Join us in opening Camp Perry to every eligible youth and instilling lifelong values and memories through the camping experience.

Purpose

What the Alumni Association set out to do

In conjunction with the Adelante Con Camp Perry campaign, alumni organized to increase participation at camp by providing camperships and support.

Camperships

Raise endowment support so Scouts can attend camp. Campaign materials estimated $6,000 of endowment supports one Scout at camp (or four Cub Scouts at Day Camp). Alumni goal: $50,000 of the campaign’s $600,000 endowment target.

Entrance gateway

Help provide the dollars to build the new Camp Perry entrance gateway (approximately $40,000).

Promote camp

Promote Camp Perry in the community as a premier camp to attend.

Fun & service weekend

Conduct a fun and service weekend at camp once a year.

Professional expertise

Bring specific professional skills — trades, engineering, medicine, marketing — to support camp.

250 charter members

The original charter drive aimed to sign up 250 members to increase participation at Camp Perry.
